• Our Mission
  To inspire and enable people within the Macedon Ranges to connect through football; to live and love the game. We will do this by supporting and promoting the growth of junior and senior soccer in the local community, whilst promoting community values and providing a quality learning environment for players of all ages and skill levels. Through our community structure we are able to support social players while offering advancement for those who choose the elite pathway.
  
  Child Safety
  Gisborne Soccer Club adheres to Football Victoria's Child Safe Standards Policy and is committed to the health, safety and well-being of children taking priority over all other competing considerations. The club will not tolerate abuse or harassment towards any of our players and most certainly not the youngest and most vulnerable.   Grading Process
  The purpose of player grading is to place each player in a team that provides the right environment for them to learn, develop and enjoy their football. Grading considers a range of factors, including a player's current ability, development needs, experience and the overall balance of each team.
  
  With almost 400 players across U7s to U16s, the Grading Committee must apply a fair and consistent process. As a result, we cannot accommodate requests for players to be placed with specific friends, teammates or coaches.
  
  We understand that these relationships are important to players and families, but team placements are made based on player development and team balance. Players may therefore be placed with new teammates or coaches, providing opportunities to build new relationships and develop their skills in a supportive environment.
  
  We appreciate everyone's understanding and support of the grading process and its focus on creating the best possible development environment for every player.
  
  Player Commitment
  Playing a team sport like soccer requires a commitment to training, match days and some travel. Most teams aged U12 and above train two nights per week, while MiniRoos teams (U7–U11) generally train once a week, although some teams may train twice.
  
  Games are played on Sundays, with approximately every second game at our home ground in Gisborne and alternate games at the opposition’s venue. These venues are generally within the western suburbs of Melbourne, with some older teams also travelling to the northern suburbs.
  
  By submitting this EOI, you acknowledge and understand the training, game and travel commitments involved in playing competitive soccer.
